The Shine (as the events are now affectionally known) sprang fully formed the day after the last lockdown in September 2021. It was a natural reaction to the chaos that was so prevalent at the time.
I wanted a day to celebrate the natural way of life, elements of the human experience, to discuss and share stories. I felt strongly people needed to empower themselves to know they have strength, resilience and sovereignty in their own lives. It was important to know other people felt the same way, that we weren’t alone. I felt we needed to concentrate on our health & our well being as the zeitgeist at that time was hijacked by false narratives, untruths and outright in your face lies.
As physical beings we naturally stay alive, heal and rejuvenate automatically, every sinew of our body is continually striving to maintain a state of homeostasis – to stay fit and healthy, our physical bodies are the greatest piece of technology ever created – this was to be remembered and celebrated. The final element that I knew needed to be anchored is the amazing benefits of the myriad of spiritual practices we can call upon to help us raise ourselves whilst in the material world. To coin a well known Hermetic phrase or 2 – to “Know Thyself” is to move closer to self realization – “As within, So without”.
All our speakers on these subjects are either lifetime exponents of their craft or “passionate amateurs” – we have given many speakers their first outing in front of an audience and that feels good. To be able to offer a platform to those willing to share their journeys and wisdom is a gift.
So “The Shine Seminars” was born and we had our very own version of a “ Mind, Body, Spirit” event. We celebrate the positive in life, who we truly are and where we have come from and through being in creation spirit and holding the truth frequency we know The Shine holds a unique place in our hearts. We thank everyone who makes these events so special and we hope you join us over the coming year….
